Data You Provide

• Electricity Usage Summary: When you upload your Smart Meter Texas CSV file, it is parsed entirely within your web browser. Your raw CSV file is never uploaded to our servers. Only aggregated monthly summary data (total kWh imported and exported per month) is sent to our API for analysis.
• Service Area and Rate Information: Your selected service area (Centerpoint or Oncor), current electricity rate, and optional base fee information.
• Email Address: If you subscribe to our Monthly Monitoring service, your email address is collected through Stripe for sending monitoring alerts.

Data Collected Automatically

• Analytics: We use Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking to understand how visitors use our site and to measure advertising effectiveness. These services may collect your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited.
• Payment Information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details on our servers. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To perform the electricity savings audit and generate plan recommendations
• To send monthly monitoring alert emails (if you subscribe)
• To process payments through Stripe
• To measure and improve our advertising and service
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

4. Data Retention

• Usage Data: Your aggregated monthly kWh data is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored on our servers.
• Email Addresses: Retained for active monitoring subscribers. Deleted upon subscription cancellation.
• Payment Records: Retained by Stripe per their data retention policies and as required by law.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

• Stripe — for payment processing
• Resend — for sending monitoring alert emails
• Google — for analytics and advertising measurement
• Vercel — for hosting the Service

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Google Analytics (site usage and performance)
• Google Ads conversion tracking (measuring ad effectiveness)
