1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using WattTrim ("the Service"), operated by WattTrim ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

WattTrim provides an electricity savings analysis tool for Texas homeowners. The Service analyzes your electricity usage data to compare available electricity plans and estimate potential savings. The Service is available as:

• One-Time Audit — a single analysis of your uploaded usage data ($2.99)
• Monthly Monitoring — an optional recurring subscription for ongoing rate monitoring ($5.00/month)

3. Informational Purposes Only

The audit results, plan recommendations, and estimated savings provided by the Service are for informational purposes only and are based on historical usage data and publicly available rate information. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information provided. Final energy rates, fees, and terms are determined solely by the Retail Electric Provider (REP). WattTrim is not a Retail Electric Provider and does not sell electricity.

4. User Data and Privacy

Your electricity usage CSV file is parsed entirely within your web browser and is never uploaded to our servers. Only aggregated monthly summary data (total kWh usage per month) is transmitted to our API for analysis. We do not store your raw usage files. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

5. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

• One-Time Audit: Non-refundable once results are delivered, as the digital service is fully rendered at the time of purchase.
• Monthly Monitoring: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing period.

6. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code or algorithms of the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the audit results without written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, trademarks, and software associated with WattTrim are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WattTrim and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or savings, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
